Mini Camps
During this mini camp we will introduce students to STEM (science, technology, engineering and math), using LEGO(R) Education programs and curriculum. Children will build variety of LEGO models and program them on computers using LEGO Education software and incorporating motors, sounds and sensors. This STEM class is fun and educational as it introduces students to the world of coding, programing and robotics with exciting hands on activities. Snap Circuits and other space and science projects will be part of the experience as well. Morning and afternoon projects will be different.

MORNING SESSION:
SPACE, SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING:
A mix of our 2 very popular Summer camps: Space Science and Practice Engineering. Join us for a fun filled week full of space and science activities. Learn how to and launch a rocket. Need to keep your favorite LEGO® set safe? We will teach you how to make an alarm using our Snap Circuits. Use robotics and LEGO(R) to build space ships. Experiment with science, there are endless possibilities. Engineering, building LEGO machines and robots. Experience variety of LEGO® projects from our regular class curriculum as well as new ideas. Some of the activities will include LEGO WeDo® Robotics and Simple and Motorized Machines. New WeDo® Projects from LEGO® City, LEGO® Space and LEGO® Safari. Projects will vary daily. Based on attendees ages in mixed sessions children will be divided into age appropriate groups. Ages 6-12.
Children enrolled for a full week will have a choice of creating their own solar system or building a robot from a kit (up to $20- included in full week camp price). Children enrolled in daily camp can purchase solar system or any of the robot kits to build during camp.
Weekly price for morning session: $190.00
Daily price for morning session: $45.00
AFTERNOON SESSION:
STOP MOTION ANIMATION:
Students will use innovative software to combine the power of PC and stop-motion animation to bring LEGO® figures and objects to life. Creating stop-motion animation not only encourages the development of story-telling, it also provides an opportunity for kids to use the PC as a movie production tool. Each child will create a film based on his/her own vision and imagination. Throughout the class session they will work on their draft and the official film will be recorded on a DVD for them to keep and enjoy. (campers can bring their own LEGO sets and minifigures to use in the movie). Ages 6-14.
Weekly price for afternoon session-Stop Motion Animation: $190.00
Daily price for afternoon session: $45.00
AFTERNOON SESSION:
MINDSTORMS ROBOTICS:
In this class we will use robotics to bring science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) to life! This curriculum supports robotics students, with emphasis on programming. Each of the projects begins with a robotics research prototype in which students are guided step-by-step through the building and programming of a new robot behavior. Children first build the base robot and learn how to program touch, sound, light, ultrasonic sensor. This class is for beginners and advanced students. Ages 9-16.
Weekly price for afternoon session-Mindstorms Robotics: $240.00
Daily price for afternoon session: $60.00
